2021 saw several intimate, no-contact celebrity weddings. Some of our favorite stars like Ariana Grande, Katrina Kaif or Varun Dhawan tied the knot with their bae. Even a pandemic couldn’t stop the wedding of these supposed soulmates. Here is a look at some of the biggest celebrity weddings of 2021 that we cannot stop talking about. 

Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tied the knot with his fiancee Carrie Symonds in a clandestine gathering at Westminster Cathedral, London, in May. The ceremony included a small group of friends and family. 

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez

Pop queen Ariana Grande got married to a real estate agent Dalton Gomez in a private ceremony on May 15. Grande has dropped the news of her engagement in December. Our pop queen described the happy moment as “just as magic.”

Dia Mirza and Vaibahv Rekhi

Actress Dia Mirza and businessman Vaibahv Rekhi got hitched in February 2021. Only family members and friends were welcomed to the intimate affair. In an Instagram post Dia revealed that they chose to forgo the rituals of kanyadaan and bidaai. Their wedding was a sustainable one. 

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan

Jasprit Bumrah India’s beloved bowler married TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan right before the IPL 2021 started. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa, which was attended only by friends and family. The duo looked dreamy in their Sabyasachi wedding ensemble. 

Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal

Coolie No.1 actor Varun Dhawan got married to his childhood friend turned sweetheart Natasha Dalal in January this year. Cautious of the raging pandemic, the couple opted for a tight ceremony of 40-50 people. Their love story is no less than a romantic Bollywood movie. 

Will Forte and Olivia Modling

Star of “Last Man on Earth”, Will Forte secretly got married to fiance Olivia Modling in July. The duo took their vows in a private ceremony in New Mexico. The couple got engaged before the first lockdown. 

Ben Higgins and Jessica Clarke

Former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins tied the knot with longtime bae, Jessica Clark in November 2021. The joyful ceremony was attended by Wells Adams, Nick Viall, Becca Kufrin, Jared Haibon and Ashley Laconetti and several others of Bachelor Nation.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum

After a long search for love Paris Hilton has finally found it. When Carter Reum popped the question with a Jean Dousset emerald green diamond ring it was hard to say “no.” Paris Hilton and Carter Reum got married in November at the lavish Bel-Air estate owned by her late grandpa. 

Ivy Getty and Tobias Engel

Ivy Getty, the great-granddaughter of business mogul J. Paul Getty wedded Tobias Engel, a photographer, in November. The ceremony took place in City Hall, San Francisco. Ivy Getty wore a custom gown studded with mirrors designed by John Galliano gown. The ceremony was attended by “Queen’s Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy and Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

 Jesse McCartney and Katie Peterson

American actor and singer Jesse McCartney married his longtime sweetheart Katie Peterson in October. The duo wrote their own vows and were married by Peterson’s uncle. Their flower girl was no other than their pup Bailey. Wholesome, isn’t it? 

 Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young

After dating for two years, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young finally tied knots in October this year. Young took to Instagram and posted a lovely picture of their wedding, captioned, “I married the love of my life today. My sweet man, my everything. Cheers to forever and then some,” The couple began dating back in 2019 and got engaged a year later in 2020. 

Frieda Pinto and Cory Tran

Freida Pinto dropped the wedding bomb on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”. The actress revealed that she tied the knot with fiancé Cory Tran in a secret ceremony during quarantine. The “Slumdog Millionaire” star said that she and Tran, were planning to have an Indian style wedding to honor her culture, but then COVID ruined all plans.

“Schitt’s Creek” star Sarah Levy took wedding vows with actor Graham Outerbridge in West Hollywood, California, in October this year. Sarah Levy took to instagram and shared photobooth captures from the wedding. Dan Levy, the actress’ younger brother also shared a picture of the reception.

The reality stars of “Summer House” Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula got hitched in September 2021. The couple was to initially get married last year, but had to postpone it due to the pandemic. The couple first met on the set of Summer House season 1. 

Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell

“Emily in Paris” star Lily Collins got married to “The One I Love” director Charlie McDowell in September 2021. Collins donned a long sleeved Ralph Lauren gown and looked radiant. 4 in Colorado. Collins described the wedding ceremony as “magical.” Collins and McDowell got engaged in September 2020.

Lady Kitty Spencer and Micheal Lewis

Lady Kitty Spencer married Micheal Lewis, 62-year-old fashion tycoon. Micheal Lewis is 30 years older than Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer, who tied the knot in July. The bride donned five royal dresses and looked impeccable. The wedding was attended by Prince William, Prince Harry and friends like Pixie Lott.

“Scary Movie” star Anna Faris secretly got hitched to cinematographer Micheal Barrett. The close-knit ceremony took place in the Washington courthouse. The actress broke the news on her podcast. Faris said, “2020 was a year of reflection, prioritization and anxiety. However, my fiance who is now my husband feels right. “

Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan

The “Basketball” couple Derek Fisher, coach of L.A. Sparks and Gloria Govan, star of “Basketball Wives LA” got hitched in July 2021. 

 Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

“The Voice” duo Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton tied the knot in July at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. The ceremony was very close-knit and about 40 guests attended the wedding. They were officiated by none other than Carson Daly. On the “Today” Show, Daly said, “It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is, and it was as country and down-home and fun as Blake is.” 

Elizabeth Olsen and Robbie Arnett

Yes, Elizabeth Olsen is married, and it is not a plot twist from “WandaVision”. The marvel star Elizabeth Olsen revealed in an interview with Variety that she married Indie band vocalist Robie Arnett. The couple got engaged in 2019. 

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal

The latest couple who got married are Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. The actors announced their happy wedding on their respective Instagram handles and also shared the pictures from the ceremony. The lovebirds captioned their picture “Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together.”

2022 is just around the corner and we cannot wait for more of our facvorite stars to tie the knot.
